Do you know the usual lead time from when a product is entered into the Best Buy db to when it is offered to the public?

Sorry, no NEW Sony's. The date these new PALMs come out is October 1st.

Definitely Palms, not Sony. I know this from the familiar "P80xxxUS" tag since the old Pilots. Here are my uneducated guesses:
#1
P80870US - 429.99 - 6x6x6 in.
Tungsten T3
#2
P80730US - 99.99 - 9x3.3x7 in.
Zire (Basic) replacement
#3
P80880US - 199.99 - 9x3.3x7 in.
a new Zire - why? same dimensions as #2's box, which is about the size (and style?) of the Zire71.
very interesting indeed...

Hey clie4all, did you happen to see if there was a new Sony keyboard listed on there (PEGA-KB100)? Thx!

Hmm... #1, sounds interesting.. Maybe the T3 is real. If it has OS6, I'd seriously consider it as an upgrade for my T665. I'm getting tired of waiting for Sony to make my 480x320 non-clam Clie.

Jonavin if T3, it will replace my T665 whether Os 5 or 6. What does OS 6 have that 5.2 does not that you want?
Scott
maybe he likes the new look or multi-tasking?
it's still too early to say
but ppl tend to always want the newest

#1 agreed.
#2 Agreed, more RAM and BL would be my guess.
#3 Zire71 minus camera with VG is my guess. Talk about a killer device. (Edit) While I'm at it, I'll guess the color will be silver, not blue.

Hi everyone, I am an employee at Best Buy in the Wireless/PDA department. First of all, anyone who returns their PDA solely for the purpose of upgrading is a liar. Second, I have never heard any sales person present the Product Service Plans the way all of you describe. Not once have I ever led a customer to believe the plan is an upgrade plan or an instant replacement plan. Lastly, I would just like to thank everyone at cliesource for making this site the number one Best Buy bashing site on the net.

Once again I see that same guy, (I think his name is Unregistered), who has to come down here and start trouble. I don't think clie4all is sleazy. Yes I use my BB replacement plan for upgrades and yes I'm a liar. I just don't care;)

Just cancelled my TT2 order. I can hold out 2 more months for the TT3 :D (or at least I think I can)
unless palm SG releases any palm with backlit thumbboard TG50 and it's successor is my choice :-)

Clie4all,
Just wondering if you could check if the new Garmin ique 3600 is listed yet and if so, when are they gonna be for sale? Thanks.

If I have said once, I have said a thousand times... if Sony only offered a T665 replacement with the 320X480 high resolution screen, ARM processor (200 Mhz or more... preferably more), 32 to 64 Megs of usuable memory (preferably 64 or more), longer battery life (like the SJ-33), and in a compact (none clamshell... there are great ones out now and the T665 was such a success... why not ride the wave like Palm is with the Tungsten) design, I would remain a Sony fan. It looks like I am going to become a Palm buyer here in October with the TT3. It is what I have wanted when I finally upgrade. You know, I almost bought the TT2, but from the PDA that I have now, I really want to make a bigger jump. If I had the Zire basic or my old M105, then the TT2 would be perfect... LOL. Sony if you want a market in America, then listen to your market.

I agree totally--I need to replace my T665 and will likely be buying a T3. The silly thing is that I participated in an identical thread...ages ago asking for the same thing. Perhaps sony put their energy into the higher ticket items which brought them more money or were sexier then what we want.
