I know I've posted here before and everyone has been extremely helpful, but I still have not managed to purchase a new PDA and my Palm Vx is now gone (gave it away to my brother in law). I hoped it would help force the issue to move on (ouch :( ).
I really like the new UX's but I cannot justify the cost for what you get, smaller screen, no CF, etc. I had a T|TC, WiFi range was pathetic and build quality stunk. Zire 71 was really nice, small, camera; but, camera was too slow and... just not quite right for the money.
So, here's where I'm at.
NX80V:
bigger screen (+)
better multimedia (+ except ogg support)
bigger (-)
heaver (-)
WiFi requires add-on and adds bulk & cost (-)
Bluetooth requires add-on and adds bulk & cost (-)
great batter life (+)
keyboard (+)
camera (+)
T|T2:
great screen (+)
smaller screen (-)
smaller (+)
lighter (+)
WiFi require add-on and adds cost (-)
Bluetooth included (+)
no keyboard (-)
more memory (+)
All in all the top two most important issue for me are size and battery life almost 50/50. That's why this is getting so tough. From all I have read the NX80V has outstanding battery life even under heavy multimedia and WiFi use, not quite the same with the original T|T and the T|T2 should be about the same.
I could use some convincing one way or the other.

Another BIG difference that you failed to mention was price! I just purchased a T2 and love it. (YES I LEFT SONY!) They continue to ignore what we really want, a T series with VG. So I gave up on them. I have the warrenty so if it breaks I just get another. I have had the T2 for about two weeks and love it.

I too would get a T|T2 over a CLIE right now. It's got 32MB or RAM (29MB available to the user - I think). Plus it's got a very nice screen and the price is great. You get a PalmOS 5 PDA with lots of available RAM. If you want a CLIE like that, you'll have to get a UX which is outrageously expensive. I'm thinking of ditching Sony for Palm. The T|T2 in my opinion is the best PalmOS PDA out right now.
isnt the nx80 faster as well?

The Tungsten T2 has a Texas Instruments OMAP 1510 144MHz (ARM) processor and the NX80V has a an Intel PXA263 processor running at 200MHz
Go with your gut.
I'm sure you have a preference - even if it's small and even if you're not saying so.
Go with it.

BUT....
You wanted a T series with VG, but T2 screen is not VG.

Yep, ment to put that one on the list... that was a real important one too. I cannot believe how Sony keeps pricing these things through the roof, I can get laptops and desktops cheaper than the new UX's.

If you NEED one now, the UX is being released in September so I would take it out of the equation. Besides, IMO that horizontal screen idea drives me nuts.....the NX's are great, they have the VG, and camera that the Tungstens don't have, plus you can now get the NX60 or NX70 at deep discounts or for better memory camera and battery life you can go with the new NX's.....if you are going to go with the Palm though, it's a great unit. I had the Tungsten T. I just didn't like the form factor believe it or not. Too thick, the screen cover was not the best they could had done, and the leather case was too bulky....plus no keyboard, I could only input with Graffiti. The sound quality was also not so great on the TT, NX sound is excellent. I personally like the option of a keyboard built right in. The only 1 thing that Palm has that Sony dosen't that eats at me is the Audible support, Palm has it, Sony dosen't, but according to these boards, there is a way to get Audible files to play in the Sony, but it is not supported like it is on Palm. Ultimately the decision is yours my friend. Goodluck.

True but, you can't carry a Desktop/Laptop in your pocket.
NX+WiFi CF+everything else=UX cost wise.
Still, I'm breaking my piggy bank for the last time! UX here I come! :D
Good Luck!
unless u have extraordinarily large pockets

Yes this may be so :D but even though it is the dreaded PPC OS, the PPC camp seem to be headed in the opposite direction from Sony. Smaller, more features, increased quality (latest HPs), wider variety of models, and lower prices. Sony's a little bit like Nike, because they slap their name on it the price automatically goes up just because of the brand prestiege.
Don't get me wrong I really like the Sony stuff, goodness knows I own enough of it but sheesh...
