I don't think so. You don't say whether it is in the cradle or not when this happens. If it is, check the preferences under General and see if you have stay off in cradle checked.

no its not in the cradle, its just lying around, does it have a feature now to save batterys so it turns off by itself

Ok, you're confusing me? :confused: There is a feature to automatically turn your clie off after a certain period of time. It's in preferences > general > auto-off after: [your choice]

yeah it does turn itself off eventually unless u get a program to prevent it

uh no dont want a new one, just got this

actually, dimmer does this. if you leave your clie in the cradle charging (and off), when you pull it off the charger, the screen will be lit.
