NX70 Languages query

Hi,

I'm based in the UK but am looking at buying a second-hand NX, possibly from another European country such as Italy, France etc. My question is - does the OS5 NX70 come loaded with all European Languages ? I seem to remember that when I got my NR70 it had additional languages in the ROM (which I promptly removed with JackSprat to gain more space :)). Am I correct in thinking that as JackSprat doesn't work on OS5 yet that if I bought a 'European' NX70 there would be no problem just setting the language to English and then using it ? If so is there anything else that I should beware of when buying a Clie from outside the UK ?

Anyone else know for definite if the NX70V is a 'European' model and comes configurable with a selection of languages ? I'd like to know today if possible because I have the option of buying one from the continent but obviously don't want to if I can't just hard-reset it and cre-configure it as English language !

Any help on this would be VERY gratefully received!

What I know is that even the NX70 that is sold in the UK, it is a European model, and all European models come with a language pack... Not like the US which comes in English and the Japanese in Japanese.

My advice is pass by the nearest Sony Shop and drop ur questions at the sales man. He will have more accurate info about NX70 European model.If he didn't know the answer I am sure he will be able of providing u with a phone number of a Sony expert or something like that...

Thanks Twinkle. Unfortunately I don't have the time to pop into the Sony Shop and ask and this deal is only open to me until tonight... doh ! Hopefully a continental NX70V owner will pop in and see this and be able to help me further.

If not looks like I may have to take a gamble on the English language being on the ROM.... hmmmm... risky. My father's NX70V came with CD's in English, German & French - so I could make a guess that NX70Vs sold in England, Germany and France are all the same - bit of a gamble though... I hate having to make decisions like this !
