Hey!
I was wondering if anyone could give suggestions on how to tighten the hinge of the NX80. I got mine from Singapore and it came already loose, and to aggravate things, I recently dropped my NX80 and the hinge became more loose. :(
Would it be easy and safe to fix it myself? or should I seek professional assistance?
Thanks! :)

Seek Professional Assistance
Is it loose in the hinge, like when opening and closing the screen, or in the twisting of the screen? I hope mine doesn't develop these symptoms. I could deal with periodically tightening my NR's hinge, but the funny screws would make it harder to get inside the NX80, if it's even possible to fix that way at all.

Tn2ifp: Thanks!
kp*: Its the twisting part of the screen thats coming loose. When i use my NX80 in tablet mode, the screen tends to move slightly from right to left. Any known remedies?

Several have complained, but most either exchanged it or sent them back to Sony for repair under warranty. I am not about to take my NX80 apart to find out if it's adjustable, just yet.
Sorry, I don't have any experience with that problem. I think some others on here have attempted to fix it before, but I've never taken apart the screen section myself.

Mine (from Singapore as well) is also moving slightly sideways in tablet mode.
But it is not a problem for me

It would really be unwise to fix the problem by myself. ;)
So I take it that this problem would be covered by Sony's warranty?
I would just like to ask since i would have to courier my NX80 back to Singapore to avail of the warranty. :D
Guys! Thanks for the replies! :D

The loose hinge should be under warranty. Only stuff to do with the LCD screen breakage is not covered, and water damage I think. Just try to hide the fact that the screen became loose due to your dropping of the Clie.

Ricleo: thanks for the very informative reply!
Now, the only thing i need is a good courier to bring my NX80 to Singapore. ;)
