I just got an NX80 and cannot get the Data Export Program to work. Data Export will install, but I get a "Fail to install Clie SCSI" message at the end of the install. I have attempted to uninstall and reinstall the software to no avail. I am running XP on a Dell 8000. Any similar experiences or suggestions?

Uninstall Data Export

Go into device manager and make sure there are no unknown devices or clashes.

Remove the USB Root Hub and restart the system, let Windows rebuild it, leave the Clie unplugged from the PC.

Install Data Export

Plug in the Clie and select Data Import with a memory stick installed. Windows should come up with new hardware found and it should install it.

If it worked then restart the system again. Repeat if you have a CF memory card too.

Here's a sometimes overlooked tip:

I use the import/export functions all the time, but the other day, I couldn't get it to work to save my life. The drivers were installed and everyting "looked" fine, but it just owuldn't work--on two PCs!

Turns out that I was using the USB cable only. When I ALSO plugged in the power cable, everything worked like a charm. Not sure how it works on other systems, but on my two PCs at home, I have to have BOTH the USB and the power cable plugged in.
