Hi All,
I just bought the above Sony PDA. Can I use it to copy images from my digicam (Nikon CP5000) or CF Card to an external, portable hard disk to store my images (without the need of a PC or laptop)?
I guess this is easier with a Sony camera which uses the memory stick.

Thank you for your response.

Best Regards
John

Theoretically this would be possible, but only with working CF drivers, which are currently not available. But when they are available, you could use a CF-to-IDE adapter to access a normal IDE disk and then copy your files from MemoryStick using a standard file mover like Filez.

"then copy your files from MemoryStick using a standard file mover like Filez."

Do you mean Compact Card instead of Memory stick?
Doesn't an external hard disk use a usb purt instead of IDE?

Currently, the answer is no, unless you can figure out a way to do it via infrared.
