Ok, I'm more excited now that I heard about the memory. If I buy it, I think I will eventually purchase a third party case that attatches to my belt. What about others?

Judging from my past PDA experiences (Visor, Visor Prism, CLIE T-615C, and CLIE NR-70v), I'll probably end up using it as its own case for a few weeks, then purchasing a Vaja case when they become available.
It's only Vaja for me! :)

I used a metal case for my T615, but I have carried my NR70V and NX70V naked. The screen is already protected by the design. I imagine I would cary the UX50 naked as well. Of course, this depends on what designs come out as far as cases.

No case needed, provided I keep my pockets clean...this is why I've wanted a clamshell forever. Of course, there is the risk of screen dust...I've never owned a clie before so I don't know how big of a problem that might be. If so, maybe I'll switch to a simple slipcase if needed. (and yep, those Vaja cases look sweet).

The problem with the Vaja case, is by the time they come out with one, I already purchased a newer model Clie.
I don't know, the UX looks cute enough to hang off a key chain :D!

Gee, I wonder if Targus plans on coming out with a mini-laptop over-the-shoulder type case for the UX50. Since it looks so much like a laptop already, that would only seem logical.

i think all clampshells should be carried as it is, that is the purpose of that clampshell design anyways....

My N760 has a really nice Vaja case with MS slots. I'll be looking for something similar. Until then I'll put a nice nylon cord through the loop and be extra careful!!!! :D

I would have to have a belt clip. I carry my current Clie everywhere with a belt clip case from Bellagio. Must have another one.

I have a double sided PDA Case I bought from Wilson Leather. My NX is velcroed in one Zipper compartment. The other Compartment has my Checkbook and slots for Business cards and stuff. I know that its too big to carry around in my pocket or by itself, but I usully carry it inside my backpack, and this case protects my precious little NX while it jiggles around in my Pack.
If I did by a UX, I'm not sure it would fit correctly, since its dimensions are different than the NX, and with an extended battery it may be too thick.

1. I would use the loop for a lanyard. (I do on my NR)
2. I would use the case that comes with it until...
3. I found a sexier case for it.
I case up my NR now because (like others) it bounces around in my backpack on the way from job to job...
;)
what does that free case that sony is offering look like?
i'm guessing its one of those slip in velcro cases that just holds it.
if any case maker is sophisticated enough to incorporate the slide design... that would be ultimate..

I bet the case manufactures will utilize the clips on the bottom that the charger/battery pack use to hold the UX in its case. That'll give a lot more versitility to case design.
