Ok, so I know someone else has already posted about the great customer service at DSI but I feel the need to second.

You see it all started about a week ago in a little house far far away (the UK in fact). One after (UK time) after finishing readiong up all the reviews on cases here I decided to order a DSI but, wanting to be a little different I was interested in the titanium one. Now this was the same day that DSI put up on their website that to order from the UK you go to 3E. I went to their site but was put off by a couple of things 1) they listed the price excluding VAT (tax for our US visitors) and 2) you could only find out the full price including shipping by registering. So I decided to just order the csae from DSI as it would olny cost about £30 or so, including shipping.

So I called up DSI and spoke to this nice lady about ordering the case. She told me about the UK site but once I told her of my reservations she said it would be OK to order from DSI anyway. So then I mentioned that i wanted the Titanium case. At this point we hit a few problems as I asked for a description of the colour. It first started out purple which was a bit of a shock, then got red, a light brown, kinda blue! At this point I was really worried but we had a laugh about it and she got this other guy to describe it for me. He though seemed to be the person that put up the pics on the website and eventually guided me to a pick for the N760 I think which was in a Titanium case. Anyway, I thought it looked good and since I have an SJ20 with the black inner area I felt it would probably match with most things so I decided to order it. This guy though didn't realise that I didn't want to use 3E so brought that up again. After I mentioned my reservations about the final price he then said that if I gave him all my details he check out both prices and email me with the details so I could make the final decision. Within 30mins he emailed me back and I actually realised that ordering it from 3E only cost £26 so I said I'd have it from them. He then went and registered me on the site, put through my order and that was it!

I have to say to go to all that trouble really impressed me, especially as I work for an internet company and I know we don't always find the time to go to all that effort. In total they were dealing with me for just over an hour and I managed to get exactly what I want.

Sad to say this all happened last tuesday and today is when I've received my case from 3E, but they did say they had a few difficulties so......
Now the case description: this is a lot harder than you'd think. In fact I can't give an opinion on the colour. Give me a break anyway, I haven't had i for an hour yet! I would say that it looks very rich, which I knew it would.

Drop test: I had to do this. I've done a couple different ones. I've thrown it across the floor from about a 2 foot height, kinda like skimming a stone across water. When I did this the locking thing on the back unlocked. The Clie didn't come out but.....
The other one I did wsa the straight drop. This was from about 3 feet. The lock thing stayed in place! Great! I really like the case at the moment and would recommend it to anyone. But only get the titanium if you have SJ20 or SL10, the black inner really helps. If you're interested in full matching thing then get the silver.

Very interesting to read this, especially since I'm in the UK and have been thinking about ordering through 3e!

As far as I'm concerned, titanium should be a dull mid-grey metallic finish - I wouldn't call it red, or blue, or purple or anything like that! If you want to see what real titanium looks like, look in the window of your local H Samuels (or similar) watch shop - if you see a watch which is metal cased but a darker shade than the surrounding stainless steel cases, chances are it's titanium - it's quite expensive so titanium watches are usually labelled as such on the face. Titanium is also very light (in weight) - very apparent if you pick the watch up!

The picture from the DSI site looks about the right colour (bearing in mind this is titanium coloured aluminium, not real titanium!), but it's hard to tell.

A question for everybody - my one concern with the DSI case is that I have a single memory stick which stays in my SJ30 all the time. The standard flap covers the memory stick slot, but the DSI case leaves it open. If the machine's in a DSI case in your trouser pocket, are you likely to knock the memory stick and eject it?

I bought the Silver one instead of the Titanium(T) altough it seems to look more unique. When I open of of the T-DSI case in the shop, I could see some scratch mark where the T color paint came off and silver aluminium color is seen.
Scratch on T-DSI case can be seen easily. As a result, I bought the silver one instead and happy with it for US$23 ( no shipping required as I bought directly from a shop here in Singapore)
