i have isilo3.25, and as a test i converted a web page in isoloX, and hotsynced it to the MS. the test doc resides in palm/launcher/silx files.
everything works fine and i was reading the manual for isilo. it suggested that i create a folder, palm/programs/isilo, for docs i want to read in isilo. i tried but no can do. in palm/programs, i clicked on "create folder" and got a "current folder is access inhibit" message. i also tried to rename an empty folder to "isilo", but was met with the same message.
can someone tell me what i should do. thanks, guyz.

Very strange, as iSilo created the directory for me. Do have the memory stick write protect, switched on? Did you try using MS Import or another card reader?

if write protect means the switch in the back of the MS is in the lock position,,,,then no, i do not have write protect on.
the folder palm/launcher/silx was created by isilo, but oddly, isilo did NOT create a folder palm/programs/isilo that it suggests.
i WAS able to create a programs/isilo folder and move the isilo docs by using fileZ, but i would have prefered that i didn't resort to that. so i'd still like to know why i got that "access inhibit" message.
That's the limitation of MSGate. That is why I vaporized MSGate and use FileZ or McFile for file manager.
McFile is more user friendly and has better look than both MSGate and FileZ. The folders looks just like Windows Explorer in PC. You still can get the free version 1.13 from nXtClieClub (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/nXtClieClub/files/-Memory%20Stick%20And%20File%20Managers/).

Right! I forgot about MSGate on the NR. About the second day that I had the NR70, I used McFile and others. Never used MSGate again!

Yep - agreed with the others. MSGate is not too useful.
Try using Filez, McFile or PiMoverII. They can do this quite competently. The other way is the use MSImport and create the directory and copy the files from PC straight into MS. That saves a lot of time if you are moving a lot of files around from PC to MS (saves you doing from PC to CLIE, then CLIE to MS).
