View Full Version : Problems with stylus recognition
I placed one of those screen protectors on my Nx70V today and i had to press out some of the bubbles in it. However once i turned on the Clie it would no longer recognize my stylus at all. So I hard reset it but alas..to no avail.
any assistance here?...I was thinking of maybe removing the battery of the thing and then waiting a lil bit to kill off all the power within the thing.
No response just because I pressed a little hard on the screen to squeeze out bubbles..sheeeesh!

Remove the screen protector and see if it responds. Sounds like the protector is pressing on the screen somewhere! Similar to a stuck key on a keyboard.
DAMN AMIGO!!!...You are the man!!!!!...hahahahaha...Thanks a lot!.
Okay now that youve saved me yet again (I coudlnt remove the screws...I need a "STAR-SHAPED" screwdriver??..YEESH!), Can you advise on the BEst kind (brand name if possible) of screenprotector to use with my Nx70v? (I use an Nr70v too). This one that I got I won from Ebay....it didnt fit 100% so thats why I pressed down on it kind of hard to try to fit it in its crevices..

Same here, they work pretty good if you get all the bubbles out.

Your getting my Pal Eddy all upset there... :D
I am the screen's protector, the last time I tried one, my screen ended up getting scratched. It was no great loss though, since it was a pocket PC. As the result of a class action suit, I got my money back from HP.

I've just got hold of some labelled Copywrite (can't find the pack or I'd tell you the brand).
Anway, if a user as novice as me may dare to put forward a TOP TIP :D here's mine:
before you apply the screen protector cut a few millimetres off one corner as I found the fit was so good it was almost impossible to lift off and remove bubbles/refit.
Oooh I gave some (hopefully useful) Clié specific advice !! :D ;)

That 24 dollars will last awhile. I said the same thing when I first saw them but you only replace them once in awhile. I change mine about every 4-6 weeks and you get 20 in a pack if I remember correctly. Haven't had to buy them recently cause I'm still using a pack of NR70 protectors for my new NX80. In the end they are worth it. The Clie screens have always been famous for easily scratching.
