does anybody know of a street map program which is compatible with both clie (sj20 running palm os 4.1) and macintosh (os 10.2.6)?

thanks!

I've been using Mapopolis for the last few weeks and really like its convenience. Its good to have street maps loaded and ready to go on the SJ33. It even has a nifty feature where by you can write a friends name in the find dialog and Mapopolis will show you where he is on the map and even give you step by step directions on how to get there!

There are some problems with it
- the graphic design isn't brilliant,
- some maps use a lot of memory and the more you have loaded in RAM the slower the application runs (but it lets you store maps on MS and just transfer them when you need them directly from the application which is a nice feature).
- if you use the Place Guides which overlay the map then the maps load much slower and their is lots of crazy detail there all the time - useful if you need the phone number of a local restaurant though.

It works better than StreetFinder from Ran McNally and the Mapopolis website is easy to navigate for purchaasing the maps - get a one year subscription and download every map you might ever want!
Bon voyage!

Thanks!

I've downloaded the mapopolis software and a map of my area. I've been testing out the various functions on locations I already know well, and in general I agree w/ your assessment. One glitch, though, is that it comes up with some bad directions when I ask it to give me step by step directions somewhere. Sometimes it's just something like "go 1.3 miles on X street; then go another 2.3 miles on X street; then go another .3 miles on X street." But sometimes it gives wrong turns. Peculiar.
