NX80V: Auto-power with flip cover?

Is there any way to automatically power up the NX80V when the flip cover is opened? I see that it has some built-in detection of this, because the screen powers down when the cover is closed, but I'd like to have the flip completely replace the power button. Possible?

so far I've never hear does anything that does that... I don;t mind something like that too :)

Hmm... Very interesting. You're right, it should be possible because the Clie obviously knows when it's opened or closed. But that's just shutting down the screen, actually powering it on and off might be different (i.e. when it's off is it "on" enough to be aware of what state it's in?). You could probably get it to turn off on cue, but for me the more useful feature would be turning it on. And I hate that power button, so anyone who can work this out would get my money!

It's done that way so you can use the MP3 player. It you have auto off set, it should turn off automatically. Turning it on though, is still an issue.
