I for one hated the remote control, it always got tangeld up for me. The UX is not designed for everyone, there is a certain niche for it. Not every CLie that comes out has to be perfect for everyone ;)

didn't realize it until you mention it.

Is there a port for those clie remote control tho? Cuz i still own the remote control of my stolen NR70

no I'm talking about the remote control program that can be used to change channels on your tv or turn on your vcr, etc.-not the actual remote control...hence the word software in my title

no, it only got the stereo headphone jack.

why can;t you just use a 3rd party remote? after all, the ux does come bundled with stuff other clies do not have. so it evens out. you can't make everyone happy all the time.

good point! on the range...i still remember how disappointing the ir rang was on the palm v...what a waste to buy a remote program for that thing...

Oops, I didn't notice the software parts of the title since it reminded me that I haven't read anything about the remote control of UX50.

I use the remote control software and the MP3 remote on my NX60.

This is two strikes against the UX50. For $700 I figured they would add every feature possible. Looks like the opposite is true. This combined with the smaller screen is probably going to turn me off from buying a UX50.

the RMC software in the NX70v is a typo

It reads "remoto control"
