Yup, I gotta say, at $699 for the UX50, the NZ90's looking better all the time...

There is the $599 version, PEG-UX40. That is the PDA minus the WiFi.

For my use, it's the camera that matters. Had they released this unit with the same camera that's in the NX80, I'd be standing in line for one.
Oh ya, there's that and the apparant fact that the UX series will be VERY difficult to use one-handed...

i will definitely not buy the UX @ such a high price. I bought a NX70V + WL100 at a lower price, plus a free BT memstick!i
and trust me, the 310k lens and its 3x zoom is useless.

You definitely got a good deal, but unfortunately, I can't just hop on a plane to Hong Kong...
The images I've seen taken with the NZ90 are very good for what I would need: A small, medium format digicam that's with me always, while my D7i may be at home or too bulky to carry.

This is definately a new model, and not a replacement for any available models. I never thought it would be an NZ90 replacement, not yet. I'm sure that will be OS6 and next year or close to it.
This model doesn't seem to step on any toes, people are going to love it and hate it and it should be fun, much as the heated NZ90 debates have been.
The landscape mode makes perfect sense to me, considering this device, although it is full of bells and whistles (I like the 30fps video capture, but still the unfortunate low resolution), is primarily marketed as a wireless data device.
I say welcome to the Clie family.
