Very cool, it shows how much smaller the UX is.

I'll buy two and put them both into my NR case.

Err.... JackAxe, the UX50 is the same thickness as the NX80......

And the fact that UX is quite a bit wider than the NX80 means that there's no way in hell UX is gonna fit in your NR case.

The only size advantage of UX over NX is that its quite a bit shorter.

I think I'd be annoyed by the screen size personally. I don't want to downgrade fom using NX70 so long. Would hate to see the same photos in much smaller screen.

I think they goofed on the screen size. Ther's plenty of bezel space left over on the UX. Should have made the screen bigger.

I do like the UX50, but I also hate the smaller screen.. sigh.. I will see if person how much bareable it is for me.. I am still young, so I can read small prints.. but I do hate smaller screen.. bigger is always better!! :D (in the same form factor that is!!):D :D

Hmmph.... I agree they could have squeezed a bit more screen onto that slab. The thick black border isn't the nicest design feature either......

Thanks for the comparison. Ed in his Preview over at Brighthand said that the screen was "a little" smaller at 3.2" instead of 3.8". Looks like it's about a 25% reduction in AREA.

I was being sarcastic about the NR case. :) But not about buying 2 since my wife would also get one.

I'm going down to look at one of these this weekend. I don't mind a higher density screen as long as the fonts can be bumped up, I'll just need to squint more.

These pictures say it all for me. <]=)

WHAT???

They've only just NOW been announced...

They're not available in Japan until August and in the U.S. until September.

Actually, it's closer to 30%. But here's the reason: 30% less power drain. With all the hoopla about the UX battery life, it makes a warped kinda Sony sense......

...yes, I mentioned this in a post elsewhere.
