I need to copy my address book to the memory stick and then mail the memory stick to my son in new york, who also owns a sony clie with removable ms so he can copy my address book to his clie. i cannot beam the info because he is miles away and he cannot download off the net because he does not have a computer at the moment.
the answer i found is "how to import and export files from internal memory to memory stick media using ms gate software" but that doesn´t help much cause the address book has a lock on it. Can anyone please detail instructions on how to proceed. thanks in advance

Yes. Just use FileZ or McFile to copy AddressCitiesDB.pdb, AddressCompanies.pdb, AddressCountriesDB.pdb, AddressDB.pdb, AddressStatesDB.pdb, AddressTitlesDB.pdb from RAM to MS. If you don't have FileZ, you can download it from PalmGear for free.

You can also e-mail them to your son.  It is in your PC.  The file directory would be something like:

c:\Program Files\Sony Handheld\your Clie username\Backup

I may be wrong, but I think when your Son copies over the PDB files it will just replace his address book wiping out anything already there.
