Well, you only need a few other things like a PC, Wifi router and an Internet connection.....

I have learned quite a lot (maybe too much) about WiFi, this is what you will need:
WiFi Card
Wireless Router/Access Point
Internet Access
What you need to do from there gets pretty complicated, if you have a wireless router (say a linksys, because I have that one) what you'll need to do is go to their website and look for the IP address to access router settings. (for the linksys it's either 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.1.101) look for the SSID and WEP (you don't need a WEP but it makes your wireless network more secure, because it restricts people from getting on your network) the network ID (or SSID) is case sensitive, so make sure you don't leave something capitalized, or vice versa. next you'll see "WEP:" if you want to make it easy, just leave it blank (but make sure your router doesn't have security on it) the connect mode should be "infrastructure" I have never run into a network using Adhoc really. Under "advanced settings" have every box checked except for "PowerSaveMode" now try to connect! if you need any more help (or if anyone does) IM me on AOL IM at "djpm05" MSN: pheonix_121@hotmail.com Yahoo:djshotbox121
or e-mail me at djpm05@austin.rr.com.
hope i helped!

You forgot about the MAC filtering... ;)

What do you mean by MAC filtering?

Well I kind of added that as sort of a joke. Every WiFi device has a unique MAC address. If you were to look on the lable of the WL100/110 card, you would see the MAC address. In a WAP (wireless access point) you can add the MAC address to each device that you would want to allow access to the Wireless LAN. It provides a little added security in addition to the WEP Key. It's just another key to unlock the door so to speak. Routers also have MAC Filtering, even if it's a wired Ethernet. On some, you can also disallow certain MAC addresses.

Before going to far into this thread (which should be moved to Wireless forum BTW) you should go to Wireless forum and read the sticky multi page thread. It will answer almost all questions you need to get your driver working.
