Can't sync to a sun work station using the usb

My SJ-30 came with a usb connector and all the software for syncing to a sun workstation(ie PilotManager seems to require serial connection (d-type connector). All the cable solutions are either to expensive or imposible to get my hands on here in Ireland. Any help would be great.

eBay a serial cable. I paid about $7 US for mine. Even if you pay another $10 in shipping, you'll still be ahead.

I must confess that my first suggestion was going to be to tie your Unix box to a rope, and use it to anchor your boat. :-)

A Sun user I am, but not by choice... it came with the job.
