I have discovered the following and hope it helps some others. This was a longer post but I managed to lose it so this one is shorter on humour and longer on fact.
1) The drivers that come with the BT MS are not compatible with OS5. Run them and you'll get told there's an OS problem. Ignore the stupid advice in the manual to switch on the hi-res assist mode in prefs. You don't have this option in OS5
2) If you've already installed the CD drivers and it won't work remove the drivers from the backup directory on your PC. If you don't do this they'll keep getting re-installed.
3) You'll have to do a hard reset if you've already installed the OS4 drivers. You can't manually delete all of them. Sorry about that.... unless someone can advise differently.
4) Do a hotsync to check that all's OK and you've got rid of any OS4 BT driver files.
4) You need to then install the *OS5 BT update*. Not the other minor "update". In my case i got them both from
http://www.clie-link.com/UK/updates.asp?ID=884&submenu=updates.asp&mainmenu=compatibility.asp
Note these are UK versions.
5) Sync again and it should now be working
6) Then sync the *update* from the same page. If you only do the update you'll get the error msg "not all files loaded" or somesuch which I've seen others report elsewhere.
This worked for me and I've been able to connect via my mobile. It took all day but that's technology for you.
BTW - in the main update there's a driver for BT control of a remote camera. Clicking this crashed my Clie everytime so I deleted it.
Hope all this helps someone. Comments welcome.
