Are there any calc apps out there with graphing options kinda like a TI-83 or something to that nature?

There's also the freeware EasyCalc. I've been using it as my calculator for the past 2 years, and it works great.

What better calculator to use for graphing than a program that emulates an actual calculator? check out Power48
http://www.mindspring.com/~hildinger/Power48/
it's an HP48SX/GX emulator, it's great!

The calculator is ok, but, it doesn't have an internal programming language like the TI's. Anyone know of TI emulators for palmos? Brian

Yes, give us TI83 or TI89 emulators for Palmos! I will give away my TI89 to someone who writes a TI89 emu! (Seriously)

You can program on Power48..it really is the end all for graphing calculators on the Palm, I've not heard of any TI emulators for the PalmOS, and I'd rather have one of those, but ya get what ya get....or you could buy a zaurus and get a TI-85 emulator :D

THanks for the tip with the emulated calculator. I installed it like said in the instructions but get an invalid Rom error ... Someone has an idea to fix this ?

Try EasyCalc, I don't know TI-83 (I'm not an engineer or something like that) But EasyCalc is a Free Software (see http://www.gnu.org )with great capability on graphs (at least much more than I want) and has many built-in functions

Thanks for the tip TongucYumruk although easy calc seems to be a good program i really want to know why the emulator doesnīt work. I was used to work with powerone graph but without hires+ ability it isnīt so cool anymore.

Wait, Montageanleitun, are you talking about the TI emulator for the PC or what?

Greetings,

With regards to Power48, I really need to put a message up on the website concerning OS5 compatibility...

Anyway, I have a not yet released the OS5, ARM native version Power48 to the general public yet. The version on the Power48 website only runs on pre-OS5 machines. I'm still tweaking things a bit with the OS5 version. I anticipate it's release shortly, but if you can't wait, I let those who donate to the project have early access to prerelease alpha code.

Thanks!

I must add that Power48 on the NX does ROCK. The version I have has not had any bugs that I have found (that is not to say there aren't any... I just haven't found them).

The developer did a great job and I STRONGLY recommend donating to his cause. Helping him helps us all. Thanks Robert! Keep up the good work.

Scott

WOW, great emulator bro!! How hard was that to make for yourself?? Would it be about the same to create a TI emulator of that sort??

I knew I should have bought an HP in high school...stupid TI's with no palmos emulator! The PC emulator is handy though (it's called virtual TI).

Virtual TI, is an excellent emulator of the actual calculator. I own a 83+ and 89. I rarely use them, since most math classes in high school don't allow you to use a graphing calculator. Yeah, a TI emulator would be nice, the only problem is the massive number of buttons they have.

On a sidenote, graphing calculators are really great for playing games (they're all free, and all four arrow keys make it much easier). No backlight/color tho. Bombermaze 68k for the 89 is better than any palmos version of bomberman i've seen.

Hi Scott:

Try as I may, I still can't get the thing to work on my NX60...
I try starting it up an it tells me that Power48 was unable to locate a RAM image file. A new file will be created. I then press OK.
I hen get an alert that states "the header on the ROM image file is invalid. Pelase replace the ROM image with a valid image.

and it ends up in dry run mode.

Do you have any suggestions?

kidfixer, the .90 Beta version does not run on the NX with due to ARM processor and OS5.

The developer said he will give pre-release betas to people who donate towards his development using PayPal. So, it seems as though you can donate and get an early look at the NX version or you will have to wait for final release.

I donated $10 towards his cause three days ago but have not gotten a reply yet. I can't wait.....

xMRG,

I'm sorry I haven't replied to you yet. I did get your donation - thank you very much for that! Unfortunately, my *$%@!! email program is having problems sending mail, although it seems to receive it just fine. Anyway, if I can't get the email out to you within the next couple of hours I'll just PM you with the download info.

Thanks and sorry for the delay,

Thanks Robert. No need for an appology as I am sure $10 hardly compensates for your time. I Look forward to playing with the 48 again. I am impressed with your work on this application and hope more people will donate towards its development.
