Senor Pelaca,

Please continue with your excellent efforts so far if you can spare the time. I for one have enjoyed your work tremendously and look forward to new things from you almost every day by checking the forums!

The same goes for all the others who have worked on the new CLIE CF drivers and made them accessible to more than the devices they were originally intended for!

Gracias...

Peleca

You are contributing a tremendous amount of contributions to all of the Clie community. Please don't stop. We want you. We need you. Your efforts will be greatly appreciated around the world.

DONT STOP!

your work is great! and your driver is faster than the Eru-Driver...

:p May you find out to Hack an WiFi sniffer for our CF Lan card.

thank you!

Reality has a way of snagging people every once in a while, I'm sure, as I am, we are all glad to have your contribution to the community. It's been a great help, I am even using your CF driver as I speak.

I also found a neat little fix, in yiShow 5.7, if you are running apps from the /launcher/ folder on the CF, and you delete the /launcher/ (or rename), on the memory stick the clie does not try to use the programs off the MS (since there are none), so you can have tons of mp3's and movies on the MS and not worry about loosing your apps listing when you stick the MS back in. Make sense?

Regardless Pelaca you work has been invaluable, I'd love to see a haxor'd WiFi sniffer. I'm intergrating the NX-60 into my car, and releasing (prolly only 10-15 units) a 65->70 $ GPS/Car Charger for the NX series....if sony won't help us expand too much, a little inginuity like yours might make things okay!

Thanks again!

Pelaca, if you have the means, the interest and the time please continue to work your magic. As a NX70v user who does NOT use the CF (still don't have any CF cards) I appreciate anyone who works to make a community better by doing what the rest of us cannot do. Even though I do not use your driver, I respect the time and effort that went into making better. Thank you.

um, I guess my confusion is not to what but why? Doesn't Global Source sell the Eru driver? Aren't they part of Cliesource? I guess if this is a yes to both then my question is aren't you guys shooting yourself in the foot by letting this driver patch stay in the threads? It isn't a conflict of interest or something?

Yes, Global Source sell the EruWare driver. I'm not part of the ClieSource team.
May be the interest of ClieSource is the knodlege freedom...

But please, before post something like this, the next time post as register user.

This is a thread started after reading the inquiry from unregistered to Pelaca's thread asking Cliesource about a conflict of interest. Pelaca asks if he should stop working on apps with the 3 bit driver and an unregistered guest asks if there is a conflict of interest. Pelaca answers for Cliesource. Is Pelaca an owner of Cliesource? Globalsource? I don't know the answer to that. Of course anyone who wants to use something for free isn't going to encourage Pelaca or Glacieleye or anyone else that is working on a patch to stop. So asking that question is sort of asking for applause. Yes, you did a good job Pelaca.
As to answering the question of whether Cliesource/Globalsource is in a conflict of interest though is better left up to whoever owns/sponsors the website. Or perhaps to whoever signed the contract with whoever is in conflict of interest. Where money is concerned I would think there is some conflict of interest there somewhere.
Maybe Joel or Fireball or someone in authority could answer that? It does seem to be an interesting situation.

Yeah, likely story, want to tell me another one :D

BTW, I was reading all the Sony BS the other night over warranties and EULA's. Everything being done here violates almost every single term. This is not a moral issue that I am trying to raise, just merely an observation

The legality issue has been pointed out innumerable times by many but it seems to have little impact on behavior.
