Here's a link to the article about the SJ33:
http://www.pcworld.com/news/article/0,aid,109034,tk,dn012803X,00.asp

Here are some words from the article:
"The larger battery and hard cover has had a big impact on the weight of the device, which is 7.8 ounces against 4.8 ounces for the SJ30. It measures 2.9 inches by 4.2 inches by .9 inches which is slightly longer, wider, and deeper than the SJ30."

In my humble opinion, the SJ33 is a little heavy and too thick compared to my T665. Somewhat of a tank.

Anyone else's thoughts are appreciated.

Thanks,
Alan

These two bits of news makes me glad I went ahead and got the SJ30! (But I admit to wimpering about the 66mhz and alleged longer battery life).

yup. well u can't have everything without sacrificing something.
from what i see, sj33 is a faster sj30 with built-in mp3 player.

practically if you're satisfied with your sj30 current speed processing. then enjoy your device until it's really time for a major upgrade. need mp3 player? there're lots of micro design players out there with good prices and not affecting your pda performance.

my only wish is for Sony to not producing similar products so soon like what is happening with SJ30 and SJ33. But then again, cannot really blamed them for being competitive. It'd be sucks if after 4-5 months sj33 was released, they announced e.g. SJ40 with similar features/design as SJ33+OS5+32RAM?:)

Look at the T665, and you will see most of what the SJ33 is, but lighter and thinner; MP3, Dragonball 66MHz.

If the T665 were to still be available, why would anyone want an SJ33, except for possibly a slightly lower price and longer battery life at the price of bulk and thickness?

What do you think?

Anybody else notice the buttons on the SJ33 look a lot like buttons on new Garmin 3600? Especially the center scroll up/down, almost identical. HHHMMMMM;)

7.8 oz doesn't jibe with sony's specs.  the hong kong site says the SJ33 is 172g, which is about 6 oz.  that's wayyyy off from 7.8 oz.  so either sony is telling a whopper, or pc world stuck its thumb on the scale.  my guess is that pc miscalculated (i doubt they even got their hands on an actual device).
