I bought a PEGA-BC10 battery adapter for my NR. It takes 4 AA cells, and has a switch to either turn it off, power the CLIE, or power and charge the battery. That's way slick.

Just the thing for a long trip, or to read 15 more minutes without running to a different room to charge up. It's very well made, sturdy and the connector latches with push-in wings for release.

My only wish would be to lengthen the cord, which is only about 6 inches. I would like about 20 inches of cord, to slip the adapter in my pocket when using the NR. If I get too frustrated, I'll solder in an extension.

With my rechargable NiMH batteries, I'm set for days away from the cradle.

Anybody else try one of these?

Please don't tell me that you spent $30 or $40 for it when its available on ebay for $7...

The Sony one has never been less than $25 anywhere, and that is before the usual $$$ ebay shipping.

I got mine for $7.99 + $4 shipping.

But that's just me because I don't care if the brand name is on it or not.
