(EDITED Org. Post to abreiviate 7/7/03 7:30pm EST:)
I've been searching for a case for my new NX60 that would do the best job of protecting the NX60 in my front pants pocket - IDEALLY it would do all of the following:

1) Provide some measure of protection if the device is dropped in casual use.

2) MUST allow NX60's keyboard to be used while in the case.

3) Be as thin as possible, to minimize the bulk in pocket.

4) Cover exposed things like the Jog Dial to prevent lint from getting into it over time. Also, I'm concerned that the exposed buttons may get pressed accidently.

5) Allow for easy NX60 use, when opened - especially one-handed while I ride the subway in Manhattan to read from AvantGo.

6) Not be too scratch-prone itself - ideally I don't want the case to get all scratched up itself.

7) Allow for hotsyncing in the case OR be easy to pull out of the case to hotsync.

No case I've seen - would meet all of my sometimes contradictory criteria. The closest might be:
- E&B Case's Futura NX70 - a zipper case
- A Covertec or Krussell
- I'd also consider a metal case, but it seems none open wide enough to allow both hands to access the keyboard.

I'm looking forward to your input.

Thanks in advance.

Vaja iVolution sounds like it would be perfect for you. I would go to far into detail but it easily fits all of your criteria. Protects very well, well made, fits around the clie like a glove, well padded but still not much thicker than the clie itself, works great in table or keyboard mode, protects buttons from easily being pressed, blah, blah, blah.

i will post a link to some pics of mine in a second.

oh ya one more very important thing: with a bit of modification to the cradle you can even leave the clie in the case while you hotsync. works great for me. I don't think I have taken the clie out of the case in at least 4 months
