New to clie video's

Ok, im new with a clie, and new to this site. Ive been trying to get videos on my clie for some time now, and i have had no luck. Ive tried everything, even the sample videos that came with the software, but that still didnt work. So i was wondering, what im i doing wrong.


And also, where can i get movies to put on my clie, or how would i convert a avi or something to a format that is readable for a clie.


P.S. i have the NR-70v or a NX-70v one of those :rolleyes:

I guess that depends on your model: NR-70 and NX-70 are quite different.

Ive got a NX 70, just got a little confused by the 2.

Read a little more on the this forum. There's plenty of info. here that will help you out. There's an app called Image Converter; it comes in the Installation CD and runs on the PC. You can use it to encode videos on your PC and then transfer them to the CLIE. To do this, you just need to right click on the file you want to convert (on your PC) and select "Convert to CLIE". That's basically a start in getting videos into your CLIE... search the forums, and ask if you have any questions.

There are so many different problems facing you in converting different movie file types but if you a patient and read up using the forums on this site you will be coverting in no time.

In the mean time if you want a few video's to get on with take a look at my site www.cliemax.co.uk there you will find a nice selection of movies for clie movie player and aslo some for kinoma.
the kinoma movies need to go in a 'kinoma' directory folder on your memory stick.
the movie player zips contain two files, the large file goes in a folder called MQROOT which sits alone outside the palm folder. the smaller file goes in Palm / Programs / Movieplayer/ 100MQV01 folder. then it will show up in movie player.

you'd need ImageConverter which comes with your NX70 CD-ROM. Use that to convert basic *.avi files to view on your NX70.
