Ok, im new here so bar with me. I was searching through the forums and saw this about compact flash. And i was wondering, is this sub forum about using comapct flash with your clie??? Because ive got a NR-70v and it looks like it would take a compact flash card, or at least a mircodrive. So could i use a CF card in my clie??? Because i dont like the memory stick at all

You can't have an NR70, you must have the NX70, if it has a CF slot.

I use the CF memory card, Pretec landline wire modem, and the Wireless LAN. SO the answer to your question is yes if you have the NX70, NX60, or NZ90.

yes also if you have the nx73 or nx80.

iownju - where do you think the cf would fit into your nr70v?

sorry, it is a NX 70v but, i still think that the slot is to small for a cf card, are you sure that it will work  and which ones are good???

Yes, The CF slot on NX70's will accommodate CF cards, I'm using a SanDisk 1GB CF and many others in the ClieSource community are using different brands of CF cards with great success using Eruware's CF Drivers (The best $27 you'll spend on software for your NX). You can also use hacked versions of Sony's newly released CF drivers that come with the NX73/80 units, but If you need support, I'd stick with Eruware!

Just checking, you do realise that the CF slot on the back of your NX70 contains a grey plastic dust cover/blanking plate which you need to remove in order to fit a CF card?
