Do you think that since the NX80 has been released that they will lower the price of the NX70v I have the TG-50 but I want the NX70v. does it have OS5 on it also.

I don't know how the price stands up in the USA but the hardware store on PDANews24 (used to be Clie Planet) has the NX70V listed at $465 (£281).

Being based in the UK this seems a very good price and I can thoroughly recommend the store. I've ordered several items from them and the service is exceptional. Typically 4-5 days from the USA to the UK, well boxed and very friendly service.

Considering Sony put the NX70v on the discontinued list, I'm sure it will drop like a rock.

Most places have the NX70 for $399 now. Online places may have them cheaper. I would guess that a lot of places will have rebates going with that price as well, anything to clear out the old stock.

I took the deal for CompUSA's $399 special and went to Circuit City for their 110% pricematch deal, Circuit City didn't have it, so I went across the street to Best Buy and bought it for $359 as they pricematched Circuit Citys deal. The deals are out there, you just have to find them.

Yes, OS5 for the NX70V units as well. :)

Well I can't take my TG-50 back to best buy cause there is nothing wrong with it so basically I am screwed. I really want a NX70 but at the time my wife and I agreed to get one for our trip I didn't have the money to get anything more than the TG-50. I have about 300 saved up but I was saving that for a portable dvd player. If anyone is getting the newer NXs and they don't mind selling it or trading it for my TG-50 please post and I will try to get in contact with you to arrange something. I really like the screen and the fact that I always have a digital camera on me to catch those moments (got a little 6 month old girl).

oh and my TG-50 has the service plan from best buy.
