an app that lets you use a remote control to activate hard buttons. CliePlanet didn't know of an application but this is what I have been looking for because of the problem playing games on the NR's hard buttons.

I don't get it. How does this work? Do you use another remote and point it at the Clie, or the ClieRemote? What's the point :confused:

It's primarily for people who use the Clie in tablet mode and cannot access the 4 hardware buttons.  With this application, you can use the buttons on the audio remote wand as replacements for the 4 hardware buttons.

OK, now I get it. I was trying to visualize carrying an old TV remote to try to access my hard buttons. Now there's using your head! :D

Having understood now, that is pretty cool! Except I use my remote quite a bit for mp3's so it really wouldn't work for me unless I was doing some serious program switching.

Seems like skinning and using hacks would eliminate the need for this program, but I guess if you're a big game player, this is good.

Now I know what I can use my remote for. I rarely listen to MP3s because the take up too much space on my MS and I get tired of the same ones over and over.

Wow, that's a neat idea. Thanx for the link, i think i'll try it out.. Another neat idea is if it's possible to link stuff into the keyboard, for easier keypress (and a 4way button thing).

What would be neat is if they would make an adapter that you could plug a PS2 keyboard into that you could plug a Clie usb adapter into so you could use a regular keyboard on your Clie.

I saw that exact product for Palm III series a couple of years ago...

haha that's what I thought oo :D

also there was indeed a product for the Palm III that allowed you to hook in a PS2 keyboard, it was a kind of folding cradle and you plugged in the keyboard. It was called the 'Happy Hacking' keyboard adapter or something close to that
