I have been searching for the Animatrix movies or how to encode them for my TG50, but it seemed (until now) the only people who had managed this were Nr/z/x users therefore the wrong screen res.
I can now offer these fantastic movies to TG50 user's coz after banging my head against a wall for days I've cracked it.
you can now get in hi quality movie player format one of four of the Animatrix movies, the other three will be on the site hopefully withing a couple of days when my web host upgrades my mb allowance, go to the video page at www.cliemax.co.uk and download "program" I'm afraid that all the videos are about 30 meg but they are about 20 minutes or so long.
I was very happy with myself when I finally worked out how to encode them coz I am a big matrix fan, I hope you can appreciate them too.
p.s while your at my site feel free to show your appreciation and buy a tshirt....everything else on the site's free.
cheers for now,
Martin at cliemax

Once again (I replied in the TG50 forum) thanks a lot!

It's unnecesarily hard to find mqv websites for some reasons...

I feel bad for TG users. They have a nice powerful clie and few videos to watch on it. Glad someone's at work. :D

You've got a nice site, very clean. If you're looking for somewhere to host your files, I have some storage available at my site. If you're ok hosting them yourself, would you mind if I linked to the videos from my site? I've had many requests for more 320 sized movies.

Are TG's videos different from NX's... and why? I believe Image Converter makes 320x320 videos, not larger... so size should not be a problem... or... are u talking about Kinoma viedeos?

Can you play MoviePlayer format videos in the TG50?... because if that's the case, go to this thread http://www.cliesource.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&postid=250024#post250024 for info on HQ animatrix videos... i guess it should work.

not sure about NX movies but someone just said on another thread that N series use 320 x 240 aswell I guess they just flip em 90 degrees and fill the screen.

in answer to mjpd1,--- don't mind if you want to link to my site or videos page that's cool, spread the word.

OK all of the first four animatrix movies are now on my site ready to download
www.cliemax.co.uk enjoy.

cheers,

Martin.

All devices use 320x240 max, so what's the big deal? There's nothing to patch/hack/crack/whatever? Also the software for converting/playing is identical on NX/NZ/TG... strange post, but thanx for the rip anyway...

Some people couldn't convert it in imageconverter.

I told him that in movieplayer there only was one resolution and that he was just confused (see the TG forum version of this thread).

I saw some others using the TGs, they're nice for the thin size! makes my NX look a bit bulky, but I still like it. no choice. :D

OK guys, excuse my ignorance, I always thought that the T and N series used video in different sizes, but Shaun at CLieplanet just mailed me to say the animatrix movies look great, full screen on his NX70 V so I guess there's no problem.
IT took me ages to figure out how to encode these movies,
in the end I had to edit them in quicktime pro.
hope you all enjoy the movies.

thanks for everyone's tips in differeent threads it all helped.

Thanks for your hard work on the videos. I grabbed them but still have to load them to my TG50. Did you post the instructions for how you created teh videos?

Are you referring to the popup when you surf there on your PC? If so, click on the green play button and it should give you a dialog box allowing you to save the file to your disk.

I found it confusing too.

the pop up images are just screen grabs from my TG50, sorry if you thought the play button worked. I will make some alterations to the images so there is no more confusion.
On the earlier video's (kylie and cog) I had the original mpeg and QT movies to play straight from the page as well as links to download the clie files but I ditched the original movies because of download times and web space.
The animatrix files will take a while to download even though they are zipped they are still between 25 and 35 meg each.
I am now searching for the other animatrix movies especially the last flight of osiris which looks outstanding.
It was suggested I try downloading from kazaa but it screwed my PC at work and now it's got a virus so I may have to wait a while for the next set of movies. lucky for me I do all my web work at home, I don't have broadband at home but at least my work is safe.
