It'd be nice to have an IM notification of an update to a subscribed-to thread vs. e-mail. I know there are complexities in this, but I wanted to throw it out there as an idea.
I know there are open-source IM technologies, IM "bots", etc., but am not familiar with how hard it is to incorporate this.
Also, what about other alternative means like text messages (hmm, maybe doable via email address, huh?)
