I can imagine it's a subject that has been broached here now and again, but I can't help ask it again :

Ayasin, do you think it'd be possible to contrive a driver for BT CF cards?
I'm pretty sure Sony won't do it, they have BT MS to sell...

this one seems good, but I'm not -yet- an expert (http://www.expansys.com/product.asp?code=LSE039-R2)

well, yes, um. the price would be the neck of the problem to me, I think. And I'm sort of tired of being reminded about WLan everytime I say "BlueTooth" ;) I've no need of WLAN. I'd like to have Blue Tooth.

not trying to remind you how useless Bluetooth is....mikecane's not here....:D

just got the idea that rather than swapping between cards it will be better if we got both in one card......

still....i agree that bluetooth on CF will be a better sol'n since all the built-in apps don't really support CF that good even after some hacking.

by the way, have you opened your NX80 and look inside to see if it is the same as the european NX73? if it is the same we may just migrate the bluetooth chip across and that will solve everything......:D :D :D

I'm waiting for someone to do it for me :D But how will you put your hands on a Bluetooth chip ?

and, oh, I think even if you CAN do it, you'll need a NX73, not a 80. there's the capture light on the 80 that could cause problems...

btw, I own a 73 :p

I would pay for a driver for both BT and WiFi in one card, but I am not sure of just CF BT, since the CF MS is available...

did you check he price difference between BT CF and BT MS? CF is MUCH cheaper, and you could still let your MemoryMS in the slot... listening MP3s while browsing internet...

sure there will be some electronics genius able to do that :D
not me though.

the capture light shouldn't be of a problem, coz the position of capture light on the NX80 is actually right to the bluetooth indicating light on the European NX73, so it shouldn't be too much of a problem. and, if someone can migrate the chip, i won't care if they can't migrate the bluetooth led. :p

The price difference between the BT CF and MS is huge. The cheapest I've found a BT MS for is about $100 while I recently sold my BT CF for $20.

The above is from me, I guess CS decided it didn't like me today.

just to keep the topic up... I saw some cool BT CFs and they're CHEAP!!! I would gladly pay around 20$ for the driver, and with a 30$ BT CF it would still be a quarter of the price here in Japan!

That's kind of what I am saying/requesting for a CF GPS. Rather than enhancing the existing storage driver, I'd like a new driver. The CF GPS and BT are much cheaper than anything else.

Oh yeah. I'm dying for a CF BT driver for my NX70. Not having a Memory Stick available at all times is totally a sucky experience when browsing or geting email. (And yes, it's painful to see the cards going for so cheap, too)

"Wow, this is a cool page I just found, I should save it... where?!?!"

I have a Ambicom BT CF card that is just waiting for a CF BT driver to make my NX70 BT to my Sony/Ericsson T68i Cell phone, and my laptop, and my BT headphones, and my desktop, and my printer etc...

I don't want to go on a rant here but, Why is it that there is all this cool hardware and the software to make it go is all for Windows. (pocket pc) I guess I should be thankful that Sony picked the PalmOS instead of PPC.

I would love a BT CF, and even better a BT+Wi-Fi CF so I only have to carry one card in my pocket and never have to take out my MS.
