I have DV camcorder footage that I want to play on my NX70V - what's the easiest (and most foolproof - read 'Idiot Proof') way to go about it?

At the moment I'm capturing it into Studio v8 via 1394, editing it and outputting it as an .avi file - 320x240 15fps stereo (to keep the file size down - 1Gb limit), then running it through Image Converter. Mono sound in the .avi causes problems when played on the Clie.

Unfortunately, it doesn't always work! If I'm unlucky I get the message 'Internal Error Occurred.(8012)' or it just plain freezes.
What does that error code mean? I though it was a sound related thing but can't be sure. What are the sound specs that will work?

Initially I thought my problems were related to the type of DV.avi file, ie. type-1 or type-2. According to Microsoft, camcorders produce type-1 streams and according to TMPGEnc, their program only accepts type-2 streams. My DV.avi files open in TMPGEnc !

I have had no luck at all with .mpg movies that I have made, but I'm not too phased about that.

I have the latest updates installed and use the CF driver but the probs are the same from either MS or CF. My camcorder's a Sony.

Basically, I'm getting in a mess - any ideas?
