nx73v U.S edition or nx73 U.K editon whats the difference

just want to know whats the difference of these two models i know uk has built in bluetooh thats the one i want but will it be exactly alike the us version,please help me out

they are the same with the exception of bluetooth being present on the UK model and the US version being black and the UK silver.

Note: Finally the NX73 is listed on a UK web site, www.dabs.com/sony as being available in 3-4 days! The price is £421.82 (£359.00 ex VAT). cant wait to get mine!

As said before it has bluetooth included. It's also probable that it has less available ROM, than then US Version. But this doesn't matter anymore because all the included apps are now installed in rom.

With the nx70 you had to install clie-mail, netfront, picselviever in RAM or use jackflash to install them in ROM. Theyre all in ROM when you gete your nx73.

The difference in ROM-Space is because, there is no uk-version. The uk-version in fact is an european-version and its os gui have 3 languages to chose from (english, german, french). The additional languages take more ROM-Space for the 3language OS.

For ex. my US NX70V has about 4,4 MB of ROM available through the 3rdparty app jackflash. Compared to that my european NZ90 has 1,3 MB of ROM available.

But as said before, this is not of importance for the nx73.

PS: As I wrote before in an other thread, the warranty-conditions are different in europe than in us. We don't have that highly developed customer-protection-laws that you have in the us.

For ex. I think, that you will have to register with an european-adress to get your warranty (the product-nr of the clie is different I could't register my us-nx70v in europe and not in us because i don't have an adress in us).

Sending in for warranty issues might produce big shipping cost's (about 60 USD each direction).

Sony Europe has no refurbished or exchange clie's. If you send it in you might print out your meetings from your desktop pc for about 2 weeks or so.

If you have a problem where the help-line tells you that it is probably a user-handling-problem, they can warn you that if they don't find anything they will bill you with about 70 usd - this even while beeing in the warranty period) - Don't think you can return your clie against a new one because of these reasons you can in usa (for ex dust in the screen or dead pixel or so) forget about it. USA seems to be the only country where you can do that.

Sony representatives of your country might strictly refuse to repair an european clie. On the support-site of sony europe they say to contact sony-us on warranty issues of us-models (for ex.).

Don't forget, that your clie looses in value because of that. When new models get out and you try to sell your nx73v without warranty and without an easy way to give it to repair (shipping in and out might be the same price someons pay's already for your used clie)
