How are you using NX to give (powerpoint) presentations?

There are some BT LCD projectors out there, but they are not common. What hardware do you need to get video out, and what software to drive it?

And can video be part of the presentation?

I think there's a product called Presenter To Go that allows to connect your PDA to a projector...

Thanks... after searching I found plenty of references to presenter to go as well as others... but nothing explicit describing software or hardware? I thought PTG was just a program to view ppt files. What hardware connects to the projector?

It's a cable between your PDA and the projector, they sell a complete kit

Margi is the only option right now and that option will cost about $200.00

Presenter to Go comes with a memory stick adapter to a VGA port. I got mine many months ago, but only recently got the updated software, which is still causing me problems at this time. The PTG will compress each PowerPoint slide for download to the PDA.

PTG comes with Mirror, an application that mirros the PDA screen on the VGA port. However, since the MS slot is taken up, movie player won't work with Mirror (movie player requires memory stick in place) unless I guess if someone comes up with a memory stick multiplexer or something.

I had thought that the iGo Pitch Solo would work with memory stick, but I just checked the web site (www.igo.com) and cannot verify that it works with Clie.

When PTG compresses PPT, where does it store them? Is there memory on the vga adapter mem stick, or is it Clie ram?

Does it mean that a 20mb presentation cant work?

Also for movies: I guess that CF / ERUWARE solution is also nyet... using mirror with CF memory... has anyone tried it?

with the new NXs it can be easily stored on the CF...! anyone got any idea if PTG support multi-VFS?

PTG converts the presentation to a different format. Usually it is smaller. I have a 4.5 Meg presentation that takes 1.4 Meg on the Clie. Occasionally it is bigger. I have a 500 k presentation that takes 870 k on the Clie. It depends on what is in your presentation in terms of text versus graphics.

PTG moves the presentation to RAM when you show it so you must have free RAM for the presentation temporarily even if you normally store it on MS. There is no additional RAM in the MS. The Handspring version had additional storage but the MS version does not.

At present there are some problems with the PTG software that Margi is working on. It does work but there are some driver problems and installation can be tricky.

I am using several times a week now.
