when i copy movie files from sony PEG-NX70V/U TO PC they are
with .MAI extension
and quicktime player is unable to open these files
please help me out

search for files with .mqv extensions.
they should be in /mq_root/100mqv01

The .MAI file is an informational file used strictly on the Clie only. It allows you to have a thumbnail and a title that you can give it. It serves no purpose on the desktop PC or in QuickTime. I hope that helps some.\

You have to look in the correct folder for the movie .MQV file.

The movie files are stored on the memory stick exactly the way they would be stored in a Sony memory stick camera for compatibility.
