I am desparately trying to find monsters inc or toystory 2, as files that can be converted by image converter for my TG50.
I have found avi's and mpeg's on the net of the movies chopped in half into two 122 meg files but the files keep getting rejected as unsupported files types, why do some avi's and mpeg's convert but others (namely the one's I want) don't....I have posted movies clips on my website and they converted fine.

I need pixar movies for long holiday drives for my son...........

can anybody help.????????????????????

Search the forum, you might need to run the file thru virtualdub and uncompress the sound...

It's as easy as going down to your local video store and renting either one for a night. Get a copy of cladDVD and FlaskMPEG and just rip it. It takes about 5h to do a 2h movie on my P3-750, less if you've got a fast box.

Hi ir803,

It is easy. Just go to pocketmatrix and follow the guides. You only need to get an AVI from the DVD. You can then use the AVI with Image Converter. I followed those instruction this past weekend and ripped 2 DVD. Great stuff.

For goodness sakes, simply download the movies from your local P2P network like Edonkey or whatever the name of the Kazaa network is...

Then, run it through virtualdub. Optimal settings (for me) are as follows:

15 frames per second
16 bit color
640*450 resolution
Xvid MPEG4 Codec
50-100 kbps

I was able to compress The Hunt for Red October DivX (~600 Megabytes) into a movie that just barely squeezed into my 128 meg MS. Just remember, the same settings may not be the optimal ones for your film. Tweak them to your liking, of course.

I tried kazaa but somehow it or something from it has killed my pc, corrupted certain windows files and I have had to reformat the hard drive.
I will manage without I think.

I didn't mean actual Kazaa, but rather Kazaa Lite. Much better program. No spyware (which is what I think did your PC in.) And it has extra treats like AVI-Preview and Sig2Dat. Good app all in all.
