www.semsons.com has a BT GPS for $189.99 pre-order price.
According to www.gpspassion.com, the performance is not as good as the Socket BT GPS but the battery life is better.

ClieTT,
Check this out from Delorme, power pack w/bluetooth coming out this Aug. I like the multiple power option including solar. What do you think?

That looks cool.
Any idea what the price will be? I can't find the price on the webpage.

Hey ClieTT why dont you just buy a stand alone unit, they're like under $70 and offer alot of features plus its more smaller, better battery life, and alot more easier to operate.

Yes, stand alone units are cheaper but BT is just plenty cool which is one of the main reason for buying TG-50.
In addition, you don't need any additional interface cable as long as your NB / PDA is equipped with BT.
I think BT will eventually replace IR in the near future.
Mapopolis has free trial Palm Navigator edition available for download.

Not sure about the price for the Delorme bluetooth powerpack but the GPS unit w/software is $129. Can't imagine the bluetooth powerpack costing more than $75 when it comes out.

Have you looked at the Fortuna GPSmart (http://www.expansys.us/product.asp?code=GPSMART&asource=)? I don't know much about it, but it has its own screen, so you can use it as a standalone or via BT.

Do any of these work with a Mac? I have a 12" powerbook with built in BT and I'd like to be able to use either my TG50 or my powerbook.
