I just want to ask if the WL100/WL110 will drain my NX's battery if its left inside the cf slot, unused and unconnected. I know the Bluetooth SD/ MS will drain since it keeps operating when its connected to the handheld.

any ideas?? I don't want to pull in/pull out freqently... thanks:)

I leave my wifi card in the slot at all times even when its in the case - it disconnects after a certain time. Have not noticed any degrade of battery with the card in.

oh you don't manually disconnect it from the prefs??? what's the idle timeout time?

*then the only thing i would pull out my WL100 is when i need to take pictures... thanks :)

I have Powersave checked - did not set up any parameter value

My WL100 card always stays in unless I am beta testing the CF Drivers. I have not noticed any difference in batttery drain. The current is so small that the RAM probably chews up a lot more power. The RAM and the Clie itsef is always powered, but it goes into a low power mode when shutoff.

if you always take out the wifi card and reinsert the plastic filler, do you think it would get lose and not hold anymore?

I on the otherhand keeps my CF Card inserted most of the time. I do have a WiFi but not a wireless Lan at home. & I find the WiFi card sticking out to be somewhat ugly. :D

True for some, in my case, both NX70 Clies won't even connect with the PowerSaveMode checked. Results are mixed, go figure ;)

Always had it checkec and never been a problem - from the various thread results as I mentioend before vary. Not just for this but for lots of other appls as well
