If you go to the japanese sonystyle site there is an interactive demo of the nz90. Also there are pictures of it underneath the demo showing all of the features including the card reader of the japanese model. Basically what you do is place the card on top like at a grocery store checkout and it reads the card and pulls of the information. This is the link

Definitely the best way to really see the NZ so far! But for all those who have been looking, click on the 'button' under the zoom/move/rotate section that's on the left and the 4th from the bottom.

It's the one that has a close-up of the camera lense. Next to the lens ... the opposite side of the flash there is a 'open-close' switch.

Is this for closing the camera lens I hope? If not, what is is for? It's probably been said in one of the many posts here... and apologies if everybody else knows but me... :)

This demo *really* makes me want one though. The only thing I'm concerned about is how the camera lens seems to be totally exposed on the back side when the NZ's closed up.

That is for the lens cover open/close. I'm gonna need to get in the habit of making sure that cap is closed everytime I'm not taking pics to protect it.

Curious if anyone knows what this is, there is an icon on the bottom edge of the NZ with a phone symbol and what looks like a usb or modem connector port? Is there a built in modem? ...what is this slot for I wonder?

No, I think what you are looking at is the outside hard buttons for datebook,todo,memo,and phonebook.

Man, all that has to happen know is for the CF driver to come out and I'll pre order mine. What a perfect machine with such a minor pitfall that they (Sony) could correct so easy. /me shakes his head.

If you look under the specs the NZ ships with a CF utility, what would this be for, does the Wifi need it.
