Whats the average battery life for TG50

Does anyone know as to what the average battery life for a TG50 <B>with the back light on</B> is?? I am getting down to 86% battery life after about 1 hour of usage.

Please advice if this is normal or below average since my 30 days expire in two days to exchange for a different unit.

Thats not right. Try a few deep recharge cycles first before you return. My battery life has gotten better after a few months because i wasnt deep cycling but i was cycling it.

Mine goes down to 85% after about an hour too not only with backlight on but also with Bluetooth connected to internet.

Could you explain what you mean by "deep recharge cycles", how do I do that??

I think he means using the CLIE down to pretty low battery life (maybe 10 or 20%), then recharging to full.

So is the CLIE like a cell phone that works best when charaged after the battery is fully empty or is it like the iPod where it works best when constantly charged?

What I've heard is that it works best if you keep it topped up.

i get about 3 hours of use with the recorder and on hold..and with 88% batter left .. i gues with out it on hold.. it would be 70 %?

I tested my TG50 with battery time and I get down to 10% in 4 hours and 10 mins.

what kind of test did you run.. i would like to duplicate what you did and compare my results to yours.. i feel my battery is not up to par with what it suppose to last.

I had my TG50 fully charged then discharged using Batterytime and yes, I had bluetooth and IR turned off. Hope that helps.

I did a test last night with the following:

Screen: Full Brightness
Bluetooth: Off
BeamReceive: Off
AudioPlayer: Running with full volume to external speaker

I got 2:54:48.

This is with BatteryTime 1.70

Since I got 3:43 with the same setup but no AudioPlayer running, looks like a 22% hit running with AudioPlayer.

I get 6 hours 22 minutes with BLuetooth and IR off and Backlight set at 10%. This is from a full charge then drained to 10%.

Is this about the average?
Will do a full brightness backlight test and post my results in a few hours.

Seems bout consistent with you guys .
Thought my batt was dodgy at first.
