From reading other messages, I understand the latest version of Dataviz documents to go supports hi-rez+ (ver 5 professional).

Does anyone know if it also supports viewing spreadsheets in landscape mode? This would be a terrific feature combined with hi-rez+ support.

Nope, tested Docs To Go v5 and landscape mode not supported.

Then I don't think I'll be purchasing it...
Seems a shame to have such a big, beautiful screen supported by an application but no landscape mode for spreadsheets.

Hi, geekdaddy.

Welcome to CS.  Finally, someone else who cares about spreadsheets in landscape mode!  It seems as if this may be more of a SONY issue than a DataViz issue.  SONY does not seem to work well with external software developers and they do not court business users effectively.  As I recall, QuickSheet was able to work in landscape mode on the Handera 330 from Day One.  Any other people out there who care about this?  Or am I mistaken perhaps?  Is there a good spreadsheet program that now works in landscape mode on SONY's hi-res+ screen?  I'd love to be proven wrong.  I think Picsel viewer may allow you to view (but not edit) spreadsheets in landscape mode.

Yes, Picsel Viewer does it, but without editing, it's useless. And that user interface... yikes.

You are not alone in your quest for the perfect spreadsheet application. I wait in joyful hope for the day when I can receive a zipped spreadsheet over Wifi email, unzip it to .XLS format, flip it into landscape mode with full screen using a good spreadsheet application, edit it to my content with an array of tools and calculations cross-worksheet, then zip it up and mail it right back.

That would take my productivity to another level.

When I bought the Dataviz products I thiought they were going to enhance the products with e.g. landscape facility. NO update over the last few months and no dates if they will give a new release. All other developers are releasing new versions but it seems not our friends at Dataviz

I don't think they're messing around with v5.0. I think they're spending all of their time on delivering full native content in v6.0.

Native XLS spreadsheet editing in full screen landscape mode. Now that would be something.

If Picsel doesn't float your boat try Repligo. Still cant edit but the interface is far superior to Picsel. I use both but picsel rarely gets touched

Yes, I've tried Repligo and I use Picsel Viewer for native viewing, but I want to be able to take that native spreadsheet, edit it, and send it right back in that native format. Hopefully Docs To Go v6 will deliver this. I'll be praying.

As if a spreadsheet were like an ebook!  Look but don't touch.
