I havent seen anyone mentioning it here yet...but on sonystyle.co.jp, it describes the usefullness of that strange rectangular section under the keyboard.
(in japan anyways) sony has their own credit/visa card, also all the commuters (myself included) carry a "suica"/smart card....So in theory, I can just lay my transit card on top, and the clie will be able to tell me how much credit I have left, connect to the internet and give me additional credit. With a credit-card swipe, I suppose you can conduct some e-commerce.:eek:
Can anyone confirm or deny this function on the US-units?
