View Full Version : How to recover memory due to system patches...

I've looking over my NX70V in preparation for my WL100 to arrive next week. I'm moving stuff off to my CF card to free up the requisite space for NetFront. I decided to tally up all the pieces from the 4 Sony patches. All told, they add up to 938Kb. That's like 8% of the available memory of the 70. Is there any way to move them off to a card? I've heard here and there that they need to stay in memory though. Comments?
(Yes, yes, I'm still too lazy to experiment with them. I thought that if someone has a technical explanation for where they need to be, I can save the time and effort of hosing and restoring my system.)

IMHO, all those updates needs to reside in RAM. As for the netFonts, why don't you consider moving that big chunk of 2MB file to the MS with PowerRUN? Or free up some more space with JackFlash?

Any answer to the question? 32mb internal memory upgrade? Applause? Lost memory for patches?
It's "humble", I've been around long enough to remember its original usage.
Aren't there net lingo dictionaries yet?
