plz help would love to watch music videos or movies off of my clie nx70
CF = Compact Flash Card
if you have an NX70 then you might want to purchase the Compact Flash Card driver from www.eruware.com ,if you want to expand to different types of storage card other than Sony's Memory Stick.

You'd need the ImageConverter that came with your CD-ROM & have it installed on your desktop.
Then start out by trying some simple short clips, such as movie trailers, eg. the "Incredible Hulk", then use your ImageConvertor to add in the movie trailer, then convert it to Clie's moviePlayer playable format.
You can save the generated movie file on your PC first, it will be saved under /MQ_ROOT/100MQV01/ in a file like MOV00001.MQV.
Now connect your clie's cradle to your PC & tab on MSImport on the main menu of your Clie (Not hotsync!). Your PC will then have an extra storage Drive which is actually you Memory Stick on your Clie. Then you just create the same directory on the MemoryStick /MQ_ROOT/100MQV01/ & copy the MOV00001.MQV movie file into that directory within your Memory Stick. Then view it in MoviePlayer, now that's a start. :)
If you'd like to watch a movie, that really depends on what type of storage device you have... the Memory Stick? & what is the capacity of your memory stick? 128MB? you can perhaps get mini episodes to run off your memory stick first, then from then on consider if you have the need to expand to a larger storage device such as Memory Stick Pro, or the Eruware's driver to use with Compact Flash Cards.

and uh what happens if i dont have the clie cdrom is there any other way i can download the image converter or a 3rd party program that could work as the same?
yeah, in my opinion that'll be sufficient enough for now.
you can use one for running your daily applications & backups. Then use the other 2x128 to store your mini movies/ epsiodes. :p
The max. size of a movie to be playable in movieplayer is 127MB, so sometimes you would have to cut a movie in half anyway. (this limit is set by Sony, but there's also another workaround if you don't use the imageConvertor & just convert movies into mpeg-1 format but this will get really intensive, you'll need a lot of video editing tools and knowledge.)
So I'd suggest you start from ground up, with imageConvertor
Until you plan to keep very long movies. then you might want to invest in www.eruware.com Compact Flash Card driver for NX/NZ.
You can check out the video forum, there's alot of interesting discussions there relating to getting the correct videos working with the NX. have fun! :)

nvm i i got it
kinoma movies are in a different format than ImageConverter.
That's why you've to put kinoma movie files in the above mentioned folder. Also install the kinoma player (free) then you can view them.

what is a good movie player you suggest?
Did you mean which movie player is recommended? MoviePlayer or Kinoma?
For me personally, I like MoviePlayer. Quality & sound are great! The downside is you'd most likely have to do many of the conversion yourself. & it's only confined to OS5. :D
Kinoma on the other hand, support different version of OS, & also many pre-made movies downloadable from the web. IMHO, the downside is picture quailty.
For kinoma you can register free and download movie clips.
Try www.mjpd.com !
