What does the SJ33 have on the T665. Am I missing something. It just looks like they made a midgetized T665 with better buttons and shiny finish. I havent heard anything about the SJ33 having a remote either. The T665 will be cheaper to when the SJ33 comes out. I dont know what to say about the battery issue cause I haven't heard much about it on the SJ33. If Sony wants this to sell they better get some good prices.

I think the T series users should be quite disappointed in the fact that their replacement model doesn't have much on the much cheaper older one. The size and maybe the battery power are the only thing the SJ33 MIGHT have on the T665. What do you think?

SJ33
Dimensions
72.5(W) x 107.8(H) x 22.0(D)mm
Weight = 172g

T-665
Dimensions
71.8 (W) x 118.0 (H) x 12.5 (D) mm
Weight = 140g

So the only diffs I can see are:
SJ33 is 1mm wider, 11mm shorter, 9.5 mm thicker than the T-665
The specs at the HK sony site state its a VZ66 processor but I could swear I thought this model was to be a 33MHz processor however I guess I'm wrong.

Don't forget that the SJ33 has a much better battery life than the T665.

All I can see is tall and skinny T665 vs. short and fat SJ33. Would thicker mean more battery capacity then? I guess time will tell.

The T665c is worse on battery life but has a metal body.

I guess most of us don't think this is the T665 replacement but are still hoping for VG. Another potential difference is support for Memory Stick Pro. At the least, look for OS5.

I think the thickness difference is bads news for the SJ33.

.5 inch for the T665 and .9 inch for the SJ33. No comparison; the T665 is the clear winner.

I know the T665 is great because I returned a thick, bulky SJ30 and bought a T665. In the end, the T665 cost me $239.99 after a 20% open box discount from the new lower price of $299.99 at a local Best Buy.

It's almost as thick as NZ! 22mm vs 23mm

My friend's T615 is more like .7 inch after he put it in his Innopocket case.

I think most will take the .4 inch of added thickness for the convinience of a built in cover and much much better battery life. :p

i agree, battery is paramount. i stayed away from the t665 because it died so fast. sure it's metal and shiny, but i want the screen to light up, too.

the 665 won't be cheaper than sj33, it'll be discontinued. the 33 is just what i'm looking for, short of vg/os5 at a 300 price point.

The battery life question hinges on the definition of average use. The HW thread link list the SJ at 17 days, and T at 10 days average use. Average use is defined there as 30 minutes per day with no back light. Under more normal conditions you might get 2 more hours of use. T665 is still the best PDA on the market for my money. My guess is it's cheaper to make the SJ, thus Sony can make more bucks by getting rid of the T.

Also, assuming that the screen dimensions of the SJ33 is the same as the SJ30's, the SJ33 has a wider screen area than the T665c.

Which PDA you prefer is a personal decision. For me, I would not trade my T665 for an SJ33. Thickness made the SJ30 uncomfortable in my pocket. That's why I returned the SJ30 and bought a T665 for $239.99 about a week ago.

But, as I said, that's a personal choice.
