View Full Version : FileZ 5.22 vs. 5.21?
I just noticed that FileZ 5.22 is out. Here is the link http://www.palmgear.com/software/showsoftware.cfm?sid=75605620030109120040&prodID=9992
I replaced the older version (5.21) with this one but I can't seem to find any improvement. The Developer says colors in the file list were darkened, but I don't see that is happening in my Clie. How about you guys?

Yep, they are darker on my NR70. It's the ones that have "Resource DB" attributes and were VERY light before. It may be "Reset After Ins." now that I look closer. Whatever.

I guess they're a LITTLE darker, but not dark enough.

Sorry, Shamrock, I have no clue what you're talking about.

My bad, its file type, not attributes that determine the shading. Guess you had every right to be scratching your head!

alan Also, having the ledger style "stripes" doesn't help, as the colours look different with the white and the blue(ish) background.
Still, great program.

I did the update, but I don't notice the color being any darker on my T665.
Hey, I just notice something neat here. I can backup ROM files to MS with FileZ. This option is probably there all the time, but I just do not realize it until now. One thing nice about this is that you can copy individual ROM app to MS, rather than the whole ROM files like JackSprat would do on FlashWrite. So if you delete the ROM app, and later on you change your mind and want to put it back, just copy it back from MS to RAM and use JackFlash to move it from RAM to ROM. Unlike FlashWrite which forces you to restore the whole original ROM files.
Keep finding new trick with this app. The last one was its ability to hide icons, which is pretty neat if you use BackupBuddy VFS and having 2 icons of the same thing, one in RAM and one in MS. FileZ lets you hide the one in RAM.

Talking about FileZ, can you set and unset memory stick file attributes ?
I am using 5.22 and I can't.
Unfortunately you can't mess around with the ones in MS, but you can get around by moving the app to RAM, change the file attributes and move it back to MS. I tried to hide one app in MS by doing this and it worked.

Yes, this is a great feature. tbellas lost the default addressbook app when he had a hard reset, and I used FileZ to copy from ROM to the MS, and then MSImport to copy it to my desktop so I could Email it to him.
