If I use Filez to delete an application on the Clie, is the database file associated with the application also deleted?

I use FileZ to delete individual files. If I want to delete the whole "magilla", I use the trash can in my launcher. After that, I may go back into fileZ to make sure that all the stuff was, in fact, deleted. I don't think you can use FileZ as an uninstall tool in the sense you were talking about.

Uninstall Hack is probably better for clean uninstall than FileZ. I use Systool or LeftOvers to scan over all of the database files, saved preferences and unsaved preferences and jot down which files are related to the app, before I delete it. Then go to my MegaLauncher (ML) to delete the app, go back to SysTool or LeftOver to see if ML leaves orphaned files, and vaporize them.

These are all great tools but require care. I made the mistake of trying to remove a couple of "droppings" left behind by SnapperMail. They were 'hidden' and 'read only' but FILEZ was, of course, able to delete them after attribute manipulation....BIG time hard crashes until I did a hard reset. The only way I could get rid of the SOBs was to NOT restore them from BACKUPBUDDY VFS. Where there is a will, there is a way.
