my last clie had a hi res assist on and off setting. it allowed me to use the older programs and is one of the reasons why i went with palm os rather then pocket pc backward compatibility. why did sony leave this off is there anything i can do to use older programs?

There's switchdash (look up in the software section of Cliesource). This is a better replacement for Hi-res assist.

Not sure, but it requires a reset...I would need one great prog. to force me to reset before and after using it.
