I've read the forums...searching for help...but it seems i'm missing something. I just bought the CF driver today, and wanted to watch a move on my CF card to test it out (only 80mb card). Apps seem to show up and run fine on it. But I can't seem to get the clie to find the movies for movieplayer. I know I'm probably missing something really easy, but can you help me? I converted the file using Image converter and placed it in the /MQ_ROOT/100MQV01 directory just like the movies I have working on the Sony MS. But I can't seem to get the movie player to see those movies on the CF. I did that MS Masquerading thing, but once I click on that, neither the MS nor the CF exists at all to the CLIE! When i try to record videos using the video recorder (or picture) it says there isn't enough memory on the CF, even though it's got plenty. It's not the CF since I can transfer and delete files from it, using my CF USB drive.
Help me please? I bought this today, so I can get the ability to watch movies off the CF card, but I can't seem to get it to function, probably due to my own stupidity. =C

P.S. I also did all those updates for the clie (MS PRO and others)

80MB CF Card shouldn't be a problem at all, & since you've a USB card read/writer, then definitely not hardware problem, but have tried dual mode?
The directory where you store movies seems to be correct.
/MQ_ROOT/100MQV01
How about the names of the movie files? Did you rename then before? MoviePlayer will only sees the file when they have the correct name. eg. MOV00001.MQV

Video recording is not yet fully compatible with the latest ver. of eruware driver ver.1.2, you can still do video capture but it will generate a temporary file inside your /MQ_ROOT/100MQV01/
You can rename it to MOV01234.MQV then it'll play fine. Hope this helps :D

damn, the movie is named MOV00001.MQV and in that directory...still no go...
Does that "Dual Mode" seem the likely problem? I don't have this option since I downloaded. the 1.1 version, I clicked on the eruware page to email me the 1.2 version with the "Dual Mode" option, but they haven't sent it yet (2-3 hours ago).
But I remember people using the previous version and still getting their movie player working...did i miss a step? Should I be masquerading (when it doesn't even see anything on either CF or MS)? or what should I be doing? thanks so much in advance =):)

you should really upgrade to the latest eruware driver1.2.
The CF driver 1.1 had a little faulty bug in it. None-the-less, MoviePlayer should be able to recognize the movie files in the directory stated above.

Try slow Mode & slow mount, before actually mounting your CF card. This might help.
Also you must be in MS Masquerading mode inorder for the MoviePlayer & AudioPlayer to see the CF card's data.

You have the MS Pro update patch installed, but did you also have the system update patch installed as well? that's also needed. :) Hope this can help.

Another trick is to mount the CF card in dual mode with the MS removed. Then after mounting the CF, insert the MS. You should, then, be able to see your movies.

Thanks everyone! You're all awesome! =)

I did login to Eruware and it only gives me the option to have them email me 1.2 Public Beta...i can't seem to find where to just d/l it. But I've requested a million times since last night and haven't been emailed it yet. =T

Your wait shouldn't be too long. Double check your email account, sometimes the CF driver attachment file is said to be located in the Junk Mail folder. You might find it there!
